Marine Technician
Job Description
Are you good with your hands? Do you love tinkering with engines almost as much as you love being out on the water? Then a career as a marine mechanic is perfect for you.
We are looking for someone that is a skilled technician responsible for repairing and maintaining inboard and outboard motors on boats. You will spend your days diagnosing boat problems that would otherwise keep boats moored in the dock or leave them stalled out on the water.
Maintenance work is another important task. You need to be responsible for making sure that vessels are seaworthy. And that's not restricted to engine checks. You'll inspect, adjust and evaluate most of the mechanical and electrical parts of the boat including:
-Inboard Motors
-Outboard Motors
-Electrical Systems
-Hydraulic Systems
-Fuel Assemblies
-Propellers
-Bilge Pumps
Educational Requirements
We are looking for someone with a high school education, willing to learn, common sense and you must be mechanically inclined.
We will also consider an apprentice position.
Salary will be based on experience and willingness to learn and advance within our company.
